Hin Pee Wee

Diving Koh Tao - Hin Pee Wee

Located approximately 200 metres south of White Rock & less than half that distance from HTMS Sattakut , Hin Pee Wee is one of Koh Tao's less frequently visited dive sites, primarily due to its smaller size, and its status as an advanced dive site.

The largest pinnacle rises up to approximately 9 metres from the surface, with a maximum depth of around 22 metres on the northern side and 16 metres on the east side.

There are also two smaller pinnacles located south, and south west off the main pinnacles and a sprinkling of still smaller "rock formations" towards the northern side of the site.

Diving Koh Tao - Hin Pee WeeEven though only a small dive site there is an amazing amount of marine life here. Check out under the deeper laying rock formations for Jenkins Whiprays or large Puffer and Porcupine fish.

You will also see plenty of Angelfish and a variety of Groupers as well as schools of Fusiliers and hunting Trevally.

Hin Pee Wee is a beautiful dive site covered with numerous corals, both soft and hard, including table corals and Whip corals. The site is also a haven for an array of tiny nudibranch which you will find on the vertical and overhanging walls.

Quite often solitary Great Barracudas will show up hungry and Hawksbill turtles are often spotted enjoying the relatively peace and quiet that this dive site can offer.

Primarily suitable for small groups of Advanced divers, Hin Pee Wee is also used as a start off, or finish point for experienced and more adventurous divers navigating to or from White Rock or HTMS Sattakut.

Good air consumption and diving on Nitrox is highly advisable for those that want to do this.
