where you doing before you joined Crystal Dive's team to complete
your scuba diving internship on Koh Tao?
I worked as a medical intern in northern Thailand and Bangkok
then I took a gap
year and came to Koh Tao.
long have you spent completing your scuba diving internship?
I spent a longer time than usual completing my divemaster
which included some travelling and lots of chill time.
What was your favourite part of the scuba diving Internship
My favourite part was being in the water everyday! I love the
underwater atmosphere; observe the ocean environment and its resident
creatures. Working with people around the world was great but
I also found this quite weird as I'm only Thai DMT in my own country!
mapping was a challenging skill that I liked and I spent time
with my buddy, Sunghee Kim. Each of us took turns taking underwater
bearings using our compasses and depth readings off our dive computer
while the other calculated distances using kick cycles. It was
itself was really flexible as well, it was nice to be able to
take a day off, go fun diving, and speed up or slow down the course
as needed. Koh Tao is a magical place.
What was your least favourite part and why?
My least favourite
part was a writing exams!
Who was your favourite Instructor and why?
My favourite instructor was Bob Murphy. Although he was not officially
my mentor, he is awesome and always dedicated to his students.
I learned so much from him. I constantly had questions for him
and he never failed to sit down and answer every single one. I
am thankful for my mentor; Jenny Dowling as well as Suki, Justin
and Matt Bolton because they has always pushed me to do well in
As a qualified PADI Divemaster what are you future plans
with regards to scuba?
Be a good diver that can help others and promote ocean
And what about Koh Tao?
Koh Tao is always a charming place and it has a habit of bringing
people back. I can't say exactly what it is, but part of it is
the people, the food, the atmosphere.
your favourite restaurant on Koh Tao?
Koh Tao has a great selection of foods from around the world.
