PADI Master Instructor
Tina started diving in 2005, when she took the Open Water course in Australia while backpacking on a round the world trip. Her travels soon led her to Koh Tao, where already hooked on scuba, she embarked on the Advanced course at Crystal.
Once back home in Canada, Tina tried some dry suit diving and returned to work as a waitress, but decided it was no match for the warm water and tropical fish that Koh Tao had to offer. In 2009, she sold everything, packed her bags and headed back to the island to start her professional training.
Mentored by the ‘Crazy German’ (Carsten), Tina completed her Divemaster at Crystal in 2009, and soon after, the IDC and MSDT. She immediately joined Crystal’s Instructor team, where she has since been working with the same enthusiasm and passion for diving as when she began.
With over 800 certifications, Tina is now one of Crystal’s senior instructors. She took on the role of DMT Co-ordinator in April 2013 and also completed her Staff Instructor in February 2013.
After a hard day of teaching skills, running workshops, scheduling and mentoring DMTs, Tina can usually be found in the bar sipping a vodka apple soda while watching the sun go down.
