What PADI scuba diving Internship program did you complete?
PADI Divemaster Internship
What were you doing before you joined Crystal Dive?
I was a photographer and I was running a climbing gym when I decided to start traveling the world and become a PADI pro, the best decision I ever taken quit everything and start the adventure.
How long have you spent completing your scuba diving internship?
I did 9 days of internship which help me understand how the dive centre runs and get me more confident with the experience I was getting
What was your favourite part of your scuba diving internship and why?
I definitely have to say the way of life that you can have by going into an underwater office everyday surrounded by people from all around the world.
What was your least favourite and why?
Getting the confidence I needed took me a while, so I’ll say that me overthinking where I was underwater.
Who was your favourite instructor and why?
Hard to pick just one, I believe that there were a few who help me while I didn’t knew what to do, I must say thanks to all of them for being supportive and very patient.
During your scuba diving internship which of the additional Marine Conservation ‘ECO’ program activities did you take part in and which did you enjoy the most?
I did dives against debris and shark conservation which I really enjoyed, also diving with a purpose and becoming an eco warrior is of course a way to help the world become a better place.
Do you think our additional Marine Conservation ‘ECO’ program was beneficial to your Professional level scuba diving training and if so why?
I believe that the marine conservation program is a must to become a more conscient and better diver, I think that you can benefit from this just because you are more professional on what you’re doing.
As a qualified PADI Divemaster what are your future plans with regards to scuba?
I plan to work and get experience in the dive shops and underwater, the experience of dealing with real clients is what will make me a better professional in this career.
And what about Koh Tao: Favourite Restaurant?
Not because I’m a Mexican I really like la cantina, they can do some mean burritos for sure, also Nam Tak for thai food is the best one for me.
How did you spend your non-diving days?
I gather with friends and go to the bars, chilling while the sunset is up was always a very good moment.
Where are you heading to next?
This island has trap me so I’ll stay here for as long as possible, leaving in this paradise is the way of life I was looking for.
