What PADI scuba diving Internship program did you complete?
I completed my advanced and rescue course in my first week in Koh Tao, and then started my divemaster course which I finished on Christmas day.
What were you doing before you joined Crystal Dive?
I was in Australia doing hospitality work and I’m very glad I took a break to come to Koh Tao and complete my divemaster program.
How long have you spent completing your scuba diving internship?
I completed my divemaster program in 5 weeks and I’m about to complete my divemaster working internship after 9 days.
What was your favourite part of your scuba diving internship and why?
I love the fact that instructors give you a chance of assisting on their courses and help you out with whatever you might need or have doubts with. I love the Crystal family and how everyone is so caring and fun around the dive school all day. Finally, but not least, I loved the everyday diving on this beautiful island.
What was your least favourite and why?
The first week I had troubles with my ears and it was a bit hard for me to get used to the divers lifestyle, but I learned how to stay healthy and fit and enjoyed every single day after that.
Who was your favourite instructor and why?
I don’t have favourites, but I got very attached to Nina, who was my first instructor at Crystal and Nina ended up being my mentor through the divemaster course and becoming very good friends.
During your scuba diving internship which of the additional Marine Conservation ‘ECO’ program activities did you take part in and which did you enjoy the most?
I loved the ECO part of the program. Not only enjoyed being part of the projects but i found it very interesting and learned a lot about Marine Conservation with Jenny and Tita.
My favourite is Dive against Debris, which I tried to be a part of every time I can.
Do you think our additional Marine Conservation ‘ECO’ program was beneficial to your Professional level scuba diving training and if so why?
Definitely yes, as you learn a lot about marine life and how to protect it, which I think every diver should do.
As a qualified PADI Divemaster what are your future plans with regards to scuba?
In this few weeks of training, I realised that there is always something to learn and improve when it comes to scuba diving, so I’m very curious about how far I can take my level of training.
I would love to keep on progressing and obviously diving and having fun as much as I do now.
And what about Koh Tao: Favourite Restaurant?
Tukta , best pad thai ever!!
How did you spend your non–diving days?
On the beach and doing yoga
Where are you heading to next?
Back to Australia, but I will definitely come back to Koh Tao
