You’ll fine tune your rescue skills by completing theory, pool session, and 4 dives that include:
- Self Rescue Abilities
- Recognizing managing stress in other divers
- Rescuing panicking divers
- Rescuing unresponsive divers
- Surfacing unresponsive divers underwater
- Searching and recovering missing divers
- Boat and shore exits with divers
“Challenging” and “rewarding” best describe the PADI Rescue Diver course. Building upon what you’ve already learned, this course expands on what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they occur.
The fun part about this course is rising to challenges and mastering them. Most divers find this course both demanding and rewarding, and at the end, say it’s the best course they’ve ever taken.
The course spans over 3 days (2 days if you are pushed for time).

To take this course, you need to:
Be an PADI Adventure Diver or higher incl. Navigation Adventure Dive (other dive organisations equivalents are perfectly fine).
Be at least 12 years of age.
Have an Emergency First Response certification or another approved First Aid or CPR course within the last 2 years.
