What ‘Diving Lifestyle’ Internship program did you complete?
What where you doing before you joined Crystal Dive’s team to complete your scuba diving internship (Diving Lifestyle Program) on Koh Tao?
I was working in a civil engineer office as a draughtswoman.
How long have you spent completing your scuba diving internship?
It took me 8 weeks, although I did some travelling for 3 weeks during that period.
What was your favourite part of the scuba diving Internship and why?
My favourite part on this very nice island, except diving every day, is meeting many people from everywhere around the world. The day where I saw my first turtles and seasnake on Koh Tao was awesome. I’m every time happy when I find one of these cute little yellow boxfish. I like those wreck dives as well, I had great fun while mapping it.
What was your least favourite part and why?
The paperwork. It took me ages to finish all the knowledge reviews after a long day on a boat or in the pool. Some nights I even fell asleep next to my workbook.
Who was your favourite Instructor and why?
It’s very hard to tell, but I would say Dirk Smidt whom I did many courses with.
As a qualified PADI Divemaster what are you future plans with regards to scuba?
I will keep on diving for sure, doing some freelancing here and there. As long as I am in Asia, I will try to dive at as many different places as possible. We also have some nice lakes back home, I’m ready to explore them as well. (with a dry suit!)
And what about Koh Tao?
It’s a good place to get stuck and stay for longer as expected. The time flies here!
And your favourite restaurant on Koh Tao?
Coconut Monkey. It’s a good place to have a good breakfast/lunch on a free day. I like the atmosphere there, very chilled out.
How did you spend your non diving days on Koh Tao?
On the days off, I did some resting, went snorkelling or exploring the island.
Where are you heading next?
I will stay in Asia for some time. A friend is getting married in Nepal soon, so I will probably go there next.
