Advanced Open Water to Divemaster

What were you doing before you joined Crystal Dive’s team to complete your scuba diving internship (Diving Lifestyle Program) on Koh Tao?

I have been travelling and working after leaving my Country a few years ago.

How long have you spent completing your scuba diving internship?

I spent about 10 weeks to complete my internship, but have been sick for about four weeks during this time.

What was your favourite part of the scuba diving Internship and why?

My favourite part of the diving internship was jumping straight forward into the diving world, doing something that I really like, going towards something totally new in my life and giving me great opportunities too.

What was your least favourite part and why?

My least favourite part has been finding a bit hard to be part of the group, especially at the beginning.

I can’t really tell one favourite but I found really good how Macca did our Rescue Diver course, making us put lot of effort and rush like a real situation even keeping it fun for us.

As a qualified PADI Divemaster what are you future plans with regards to scuba?

My future plans are trying to get some job as divemaster. I am thinking about doing IDC at a certain point and I really would like to do Tech Diving.

And what about Koh Tao?

I like Koh Tao a lot, it’s a beautiful island hosting lots of people sharing the same passion but I think is also a bit poor outside diving world.

It can end up being a bit boring if you are not diving (being sick one month showed me this side really good!)

And your favourite restaurant on Koh Tao?

‘Paprika’ for Thai food, ‘Barracuda’ for fish and ‘Neptunes’ for pizza.

How did you spend your non diving days on Koh Tao?

That had been, as I said, the most hard part of my Koh Tao life. I did not find much to do a part of diving. I went around with motorbike visiting the island, went snorkelling, I read and not much else.

Where are you heading next?

Hopefully Komodo Island, otherwise I will look for jobs around Indonesia and then I was thinking to move anywhere I can work and learn Spanish.
