What PADI scuba diving Internship program did you complete? www.crystaldive.com-divemaster-internship

The divemaster program and I’m currently doing the divemaster internship.

What were you doing before you joined Crystal Dive?

I was at the start of my travelling adventure and decided to do an Open Water course here after a friend had recommended Crystal.

It’s fair to say I completely fell in love with diving.. As that was 6 months ago I’m still here now as a Divemaster!

How long have you spent completing your scuba diving internship?

2 Months, I had a few weeks off due to being a tad clumsy.

What was your favourite part of your scuba diving internship and why?

There were so many – The whole experience was amazing from start to finish.

I feel like I’ve progressed hugely as a diver. And obviously my little crystal family, I have definitely made friends for life.

What was your least favourite and why?

Having three weeks out of the water due to injuries. (Not diving related, Just me being a clumsy idiot related).

Who was your favourite instructor and why?

Being one of the biggest dive schools, I was able to assist many incredible instructors at Crystal, all with different styles and methods of teaching. I learnt something different from each.

I also learnt a lot from the DM team, Thanks Jenna. (There’s your mention J )

Also Big thanks to my mentor Tina!

During your scuba diving internship which of the additional Marine Conservation ‘ECO’ program activities did you take part in and which did you enjoy the most?

I did all of them pretty much, the Eco program became a big part of my time doing my DMC and something I’d really like to continue being a part of.

I think my favourite was dive site cleans, surfacing with a big bag of rubbish and feeling like you’ve made a difference, even just a small one is very rewarding.

Do you think our additional Marine Conservation ‘ECO’ program was beneficial to your Professional level scuba diving training and if so why?

Absolutely, as divers we have a responsibility to have an understanding of the environment we love so much and the measures we all can take to protect and nurture it.

As a qualified PADI Divemaster what are your future plans with regards to scuba?

At the moment I’m really enjoying being a Divemaster. But IDC is definitely in my future plans.

And what about Koh Tao.

Favourite Restaurant?

El Carrott – The best veggie goodness on the island!

How did you spend your non-diving days?

Koh Tao is a beautiful island with some stunning beaches – Everyone loves a beach day!

Where are you heading to next?
