What ‘Diving Lifestyle’ Internship program did you complete?

Rescue Diver to Divemaster

What where you doing before you joined Crystal Dive’s team to complete your scuba diving internship (Diving Lifestyle Program) on Koh Tao?

I was working as a swimming teacher.

How long have you spent completing your scuba diving internship?

It took me 4 months to complete my DM, during this time I also went on a trip to Malaysia for a week while i did a visa run.

What was your favourite part of the scuba diving Internship and why?

Being able to dive everyday was always a good thing to do, but the whole vibe around the place, relaxing with friends on the beach with a few drinks, watching the sunset was always a great way to spend my non diving days.

What was your least favourite part and why?

To be honest there wasnt any part of my DM that I didn’t enjoy

Who was your favourite Instructor and why?

It is quiet hard to pick a favourite instructor at Crystal, there were so many great instructors there. One I would have to single out is Carsten, who initially taught me my Open Water and then later went on to be my mentor who helped guide me through my dive master course.

I also assisted many orther amazing instructors during my divemaster course, special mentions go to Macca and the ‘Big Dog’ of Crystal, Neil Davidson!

As a qualified PADI Divemaster what are you future plans with regards to scuba?

After a break to continue travelling and to have a visit home to see friends and family I plan to return to Koh Tao and to Crystal to complete my IDC.

Koh Tao has a very unique vibe, a great mix. You can have nice chilled days on the beach and if you want can go to sairee at night which hads a great party atmosphere

And your favourite restaurant on Koh Tao?

I don’t really have a favourite restaurant, there ae so many delicious places to eat that cater for what ever mood I am in. Shout out to the samosa man who comes around Crystal in the evenings.

How did you spend your non diving days on Koh Tao?

My non diving days were spent relaxing with friends, visiting the different beaches, exploring the island as well as many nights out.

Where are you heading next?

Next I plan on visiting Bali to do some diving, then I plan on returning home to spend some quality time with friends and family before I start my next adventure.
