What ‘Diving Lifestyle’ Internship program did you complete?
What were you doing before you joined Crystal Dive’s team to complete your scuba diving internship (Diving Lifestyle Program) on Koh Tao?
Working back home in an office job, then quit to go travelling. The rest is history!
How long have you spent completing your scuba diving internship?
What was your favourite part of the scuba diving Internship and why?
All the courses I assisted. I love seeing different instructors’ teaching styles and methods, and I think this part of the course is where you get the most valuable feedback. And of course, all the fun diving is my other favourite part!
What was your least favourite part and why?
Updating my DMT folder – never liked paperwork.
Who was your favourite Instructor and why?
I know it’s a cop out answer, but all of them. There was never a time when I asked an Instructor for help and didn’t get it.
As a qualified PADI Divemaster what are you future plans with regards to scuba?
Hopefully a bit of work and more fun diving for the time being! But who knows. Maybe I’ll take the Instructor course one day.
And what about Koh Tao?
I love everything about Koh Tao. Ever since I first came here last year I wanted to just come back, stay and dive. There is a perfect balance of nightlife and quiet beach spots, plus you can eat somewhere different every night if you wanted. I’m not leaving just yet!
And your favourite restaurant on Koh Tao?
So many! Tik in Sairee probably have the biggest portions of curry I’ve ever seen, Da makes a great sandwich, Yangs do huge meals (and their chips are fantastic). Go to Neptunes for pizza, Hippo for burgers and if you’re looking for a Pad Thai, then look no further than the main guy outside the Sairee 7-Eleven.
How did you spend your non-diving days on Koh Tao?
I didn’t have many. Sometimes just chilling out, other times snorkelling and looking for sharks at Aow Leuk.
Where are you heading next?
No plans, will stick around in Koh Tao for a bit!
