Crystal Dive – Divemaster Internship – Line Lomholt
Name: Line Lomholt
Hometown: Korsoer, Denmark
Age: 23
Internship: PADI Divemaster

What ‘Diving Lifestyle’ Internship program did you complete?

Divemaster internship.

What where you doing before you joined Crystal Dive’s team to complete your scuba diving internship (Diving Lifestyle Program) on Koh Tao?

I was studying to be a nurse in Denmark, but I got bored. So I took a gap year and came here instead.

How long have you spent completing your scuba diving internship?

It took me 30 days to complete.

What was your favourite part of the scuba diving Internship and why?

All the people at Crystal. The internship wouldn’t have been the same without them. I came to Crystal by myself and after two days it felt like home. Everyone is so friendly and there is always someone to help you.

What was your least favourite part and why?

Being in the pool. There are no fish in the there!

It’s a tough one. I have assisted many instructors, and they are all good in their own way. But it was so much fun assisting Neil Davidson on the Rescue course, I will never forget it.

Kiwi was my mentor while I did my DMT. He was a great support; he helped me with everything, dive related or personal.

As a qualified PADI Divemaster what are you future plans with regards to scuba?

I would love to work as a Divemaster for a while. My plan was to travel around in Asia after I finish my Divmemaster and dive in different places but I’m not sure what to do, because I really like it here.

And what about Koh Tao?

I love Koh Tao, it’s the perfect island for divers. You can dive during the day, and in the evening you can go out with your friends and have fun. Another thing I like about Koh Tao is the atmosphere, it’s so chilled and the people here are friendly and kind.

And your favourite restaurant on Koh Tao?

Definitely ‘Le Carrot’, because it’s vegan! But I also like ‘Yang’ because of their big portions and it’s cheap.

How did you spend your non diving days on Koh Tao?

I’ve only had a couple of days without diving. One of the days I was hiking, the nature here is beautiful.

Where are you heading next?

After my Internship, my plan is to go to Pai, and meet some of my friends. Otherwise I don’t have any plans. But I’ll definitely come back to Crystal and dive in the near future.
