What ‘Diving Lifestyle’ Internship program did you complete?
What where you doing before you joined Crystal Dive’s team to complete your scuba diving internship (Diving Lifestyle Program) on Koh Tao?
I used to work in Brighton, England as manager for a Cafe-Patisserie.
How long have you spent completing your scuba diving internship?
I spent around 6 weeks completing my DMT, including a lot of fun dives, some days off and one visa run in Koh Samui.
What was your favourite part of the scuba diving Internship and why?
My favourite part of my DMT was assisting instructors during their courses. There is a lot to learn and this is really interesting.
Also my skills circuit with Tina and Manu, so much fun! I have to say that I was quite proud (and maybe a bit embarrassing and red cheeks) when Neil asked me to shout ‘Boats are ready’, MANY times!
What was your least favourite part and why?
One of the great things with the DMT is, you meet so many amazing people but at some point some have to leave. You need to learn how to say goodbye!
Who was your favourite Instructor and why?
Every one at Crystal is amazing. You really feel that if you need any help, someone always will be there for you. No matters if they are instructors, DM or even DMTs. But if I have to choose someone I would like to say Macca (Andy), he was my mentor. He was really patient and explained a lot to me.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to dive with Macca. As part of the DM team, he was really busy. So I will say Tina and Manu. They are both really good divers. They make the courses look like easier and more fun. A pleasure to lear and dive with those two.
As a qualified PADI Divemaster what are you future plans with regards to scuba?
I will love to do my IDC after my internship. Hopefully working at Crystal.
And what about Koh Tao?
Koh Tao coudn’t be better. The Island is just amazing, planty of view points, georgous beaches. The food is really good, going out to have a drink is a real pleasure. Life is just beautiful on the island.
And your favourite restaurant on Koh Tao?
I have no idea of my favourite restaurant. There are so many: Thai, Italian, French. You can find every thing you like and for sure you will be pleased.
How did you spend your non diving days on Koh Tao?
Spend time with friends, discover the Island, chill out on the beach and sleeping to be honest.
Where are you heading next?
I would like to work as Divemaster / Instructor on Koh Tao. Best place to start!
