What PADI scuba diving Internship program did you complete?
I completed the lifestyle PADI Divemaster course and the working internship.
What were you doing before you joined Crystal Dive?
Before I joined Crystal I had just finished my undergraduate at university whilst I was working as a labour and as a waiter.
How long have you spent completing your scuba diving internship?
I spent 10 weeks completing my Divemaster course and then went home. Whilst I was home decided the cold grey weather of Manchester wasn’t for me. Once I realised this I flew straight back to my home away from home (Koh Tao) to complete the working internship which lasted 2 weeks.
What was your favourite part of your scuba diving internship and why?
The most memorable and favourite part of my working internship and Divemaster was definitely the people you meet. This was the best bit due to the stories you hear and how these people you would never expect to meet become friends for life.
What was your least favourite and why?
The least favourite part of my internship was 100% the mosquitos in the kit room.
Who was your favourite instructor and why?
I do not have a favourite instructor they are all legends in their own way.
During your scuba diving internship which of the additional Marine Conservation ‘ECO’ program activities did you take part in and which did you enjoy the most?
I completed several ECO activities and the ones I enjoyed the most were the dive site clean ups where the whole divemaster group was involved.
Do you think our additional Marine Conservation ‘ECO’ program was beneficial to your Professional level scuba diving training and if so why?
100%, Jenny is an absolute legend and helps increase your knowledge of marine life and how everyone can do their little bit to save our oceans.
As a qualified PADI Divemaster what are your future plans with regards to scuba?
Now I am a PADI Divemaster I feel like I can go anywhere in the world and work. Especially with the skill set that I have been able to create while completing the working internship at Crystal. However I was luckily enough to get offered a full time position at Crystal so obviously I am going to stay here and live the dream as a PADI Divemaster.
And what about Koh Tao:
Koh Tao in my opinion is the paradise. A whole load of diving, beaches, cold beers and amazing people.

How did you spend your non-diving days?
Adventuring around the island, lounging on the beaches and sometimes slightly hungover.
Where are you heading to next?
I have got no plans at the moment just going to stay on Koh Tao for the foreseeable future.
