What was your favourite part of your scuba diving internship and why?
My improvements from first to last assist was really rewarding
What was your least favourite and why?
Rescue Assist because it was quiet I jumped on a one man course and just felt like I didn’t learn as much as I could have with more people and a more experienced instructor.
Who was your favourite instructor and why?
Beard/Macca/Tina I spent the early part of my Divemaster course with these instructors and found that they were really good at just telling me where I went wrong and how to improve.
During your scuba diving internship which of the additional Marine Conservation ‘ECO’ program activities did you take part in and which did you enjoy the most?
Sadly due to money restraints I rushed through my Divemaster course and didn’t do as much ECO as I had hoped but I am looking forward to doing some more in my free time when Jenny gets back.
Do you think our additional Marine Conservation ‘ECO’ program was beneficial to your Professional level scuba diving training and if so why?
Yes because I think Jenny can really help show people the difference that we can make and Junkyard really helps with this.
As a qualified PADI Divemaster what are your future plans with regards to scuba?
For the moment I am hoping to get some work here in Koh Tao until September and then go on to do my Instructor Development Course (IDC) and MSDT and a marine research internship in Utila with Bay Island College of Diving next June/July. Long term am I hoping to do marine research and marine conservation with my degree.
And what about Koh Tao?
I have no immediate plans to return to Koh Tao but that is only because I have to go to university however afterwards I would definitely like to return.

Home to study marine bio at university in Southampton.
