What PADI scuba diving Internship program did you complete?
I completed my Crystal Dive Koh Tao internship after completing my Instructor Development Course (IDC) & Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) training courses. The courses gave me the knowledge to become a qualified and competent dive instructor where as the internship program gave me the insight into how exactly a world class dive resort operates on a daily basis.
This includes the logistics and work involved in getting 4-6 dive boats out (on time) per day, customer relations and what is involved in getting students certified efficiently and with quality training.
What were you doing before you joined Crystal Dive?
I was working in mining and construction around various parts of remote and suburban Australia before going traveling around Asia again and finding Crystal Dive.
How long have you spent completing your scuba diving internship?
I spent roughly 2-3 months completing my IDC/MSDT training along with the internship program crystal offers.

During your scuba diving internship which of the additional Marine Conservation ‘ECO’ program activities did you take part in and which did you enjoy the most?
I was a part of a few beach clean ups and dive site clean ups, it’s a fairly shocking and rewarding way of seeing just how much rubbish ends up in and around our beaches.
Do you think our additional Marine Conservation ‘ECO’ program was beneficial to your Professional level scuba diving training and if so why?
Absolutely, it gives perspective as to just how dire our rubbish and pollution problems are world wide. It also encourages professional divers to spread awareness and educate people to be more environmentally friendly.
Turn my passion into my career and educate people around the world about the beauty and fragility of our underwater worlds.
And what about Koh Tao?
