What ‘Diving Lifestyle’ Internship program did you complete?
What where you doing before you joined Crystal Dive’s team to complete your scuba diving internship (Diving Lifestyle Program) on Koh Tao?
Working and Traveling
How long have you spent completing your scuba diving internship?
It has been 4 great months that included some days off to explore Koh Tao, did a visa renewal to Koh Samui as well as an awesome jampacked 6 day visa run to Penang, Malaysia.
What was your favourite part of the scuba diving Internship and why?
Undoubtedly the Divemaster program, I loved the way the program was structured and designed for the candidate to determine his personal progress. This is when you learn the most because you become part of team and make life friends and we all learn together and from each other.
What was your least favourite part and why?
Fun diving, it’s awful! Have to spend the whole day diving with friends..!!
Who was your favourite Instructor and why?
This is a difficult one, it’s hard to single out a specific instructor because I learnt a bit from every individual I had direct contact with and indirectly just by observing. I did however learn alot from the DM team, diving skills, boat skills, customer interaction, sequencing of a general day in a dive centre, etc.
As a qualified PADI Instructor what are you future plans with regards to scuba?
Myself and my wife Sasha want to work and travel and discover! Our ideal would be to find a place where we work in the dive industry but can also surf. Perfect life, earn by doing what you love!
And what about Koh Tao?
Koh Tao is a special place; it’s like the perfect neighbourhood!
And your favourite restaurant on Koh Tao?
I have so many! Yangs, Sawadee, Nana’s, the pier ladies when you come off the boat, Annie’s the street vendor outside 7/11, the duck place in Sairee, the list never ends! Oh and Hacienda, that’s a new one to my list!
How did you spend your non diving days on Koh Tao?
Exploring and just having good times with my new life long friends, such a good vibe on Koh Tao!
Where are you heading next?
This is the fun part, we not sure yet!
