What ‘Diving Lifestyle’ Internship program did you complete?
Rescue to DM
What where you doing before you joined Crystal Dive’s team to complete your scuba diving internship (Diving Lifestyle Program) on Koh Tao?
I was a fisheries biologist up in Alaska. Working on commercial fishing boats collecting data on their catch.
How long have you spent completing your scuba diving internship?
It took me about 2 months total to finish my Rescue and Divemaster Internship.
What was your favourite part of the scuba diving Internship and why?
What was your least favourite part and why?
I don’t really have one. I enjoyed all of it.
Who was your favourite Instructor and why?
One of the main reasons I chose Crystal was the staff. They are always willing to help, by giving you feedback as well as sharing their experience. As for favourite Instructor, I can’t say I have just one.
Tina and Manu do an excellent job coordinating the Divemaster program. Jenny is awesome for teaching the Reef Check course and coordinating all the fun Eco events.
Last but not least, a shout out for my mentor Dirk S who helped me through out the course and internship.
As a qualified PADI Divemaster what are you future plans with regards to scuba?
And what about Koh Tao?
Koh Tao is a nice little island. I have yet to explore all of it, since I’ve spent most of my time here diving, but there is always something to do.
And your favourite restaurant on Koh Tao?
Koh Tao has a wide variety of restaurants to choose from, and they all have great food. Being a breakfast person, as well as a coffee addict. I would have to say Zest is my favourite.
How did you spend your non diving days on Koh Tao?
I only had a few non-diving days, and I spent them exploring the island, and hanging out with friends.
Where are you heading next?
I’ll probably stick around Koh Tao and gain some more experience as a Divemaster. That’s as far as I’ve gotten though.
