Citizen Science Overiew - Our 4-day Citizen Science Overview introduces you to a variety of marine conservation projects, giving you hands-on experience and knowledge of research initiatives from around the world.
Reef Check Eco Diver - This course provides comprehensive training, equipping you with all the knowledge and skills needed to carry out full-scale Reef Check surveys with confidence and accuracy.
SSI Ecology Instructor - This course equips you with the knowledge, teaching skills, and hands-on experience needed to instruct and mentor others in each of the SSI Marine Ecology specialties, empowering you to make a lasting impact on our oceans.

Minimum Age
You must be at least 16 years old to join The Coral Tribe Courses
Minimum Certification Level
A minimum certification of Advanced Adventurer with Perfect Buoyancy is required for our Citizen Science and Reef Check Courses. For SSI Ecology Instructor a minimum level of SSI Divemaster is required.
Medical Statement
You’ll need to be medically fit for scuba diving. Please download and review this Scuba Diving Medical Statement. If you have any questions or medical conditions, we recommend consulting with your physician before booking.
Recent Dive Experience
For your safety and comfort, we ask that all participants have completed a dive within the last 6 months. If it’s been longer, we’ll schedule a Scuba Review session before your program begins to ensure you’re confident in the water and ready to dive into marine conservation activities.

Do I need experience in Marine Conservation to join?
No you don’t. The Coral Tribe are flexible with their placements for training courses or internships, you simply need to have a keen interest in marine conservation.
What diving level do I need to have to join The Coral Tribe?
To conduct marine conservation activities, you are required to have a high level of control underwater. See the minimum prerequisites here.
Can I start a course or internship everyday?
Courses and internships are scheduled depending on the current level of interns and students that are prebooked. If you want to discuss booking a date then please contact us.
