Try SCUBA Diving – What’s Involved
The Try SCUBA Diving experience will introduce you to breathing underwater in under a day without the hassle of learning theory.

Part 1: Intro & Briefing
To begin your Try SCUBA diving experience, you’ll meet your friendly instructor and complete some basic paperwork. This ensures you’re safe, comfortable, and ready to explore the underwater world.
Your instructor will introduce you to the essential SCUBA equipment and demonstrate the correct techniques for its use. You’ll also learn about important safety procedures, how to communicate underwater using hand signals, and tips for enjoying your first breaths beneath the surface.
A brief theory session follows, designed to help you understand key concepts and build confidence as you prepare to try SCUBA diving for the first time.
Part 2: Pool-Training
In this stage of your one-day dive course, your instructor will set up your equipment and help you get comfortable wearing it in the pool. You’ll start in shallow water where you can stand, giving you the chance to practice breathing underwater and master essential skills for SCUBA diving.
Once you’re confident, you’ll practice swimming with fins and gradually move toward deeper areas of the pool. This hands-on session is a perfect introduction to SCUBA diving for beginners, allowing you to experience the thrill of underwater exploration in a safe, controlled environment.
If you decide you’d like to continue your underwater adventure, your instructor can guide you toward enrolling in an Open Water Course, where you can dive in the open ocean and work toward certification.

Before You Start the Try SCUBA Diving Experience
Before you try SCUBA diving in Thailand, you will need to meet a couple of requirements to ensure a safe and enjoyable time in the water. This SCUBA diving for beginners session is designed to be fun and stress-free, but it’s important to meet these prerequisites so you can focus on discovering the wonders of diving.

Minimum Age
To have the Try SCUBA diving in Thailand experience, you must be at least 10 years old. This ensures that everyone can safely handle the equipment and follow important safety procedures.
Medical Statement
For your safety, you’ll need to be medically fit for diving. Please review the Medical Statement for SCUBA Diving – you can download it here. If you have any concerns, check with your physician or contact us before booking this one-day dive course.

Can I start my Try Diver experience every day?
In general, yes. We start our courses any given day. To secure your desired start date, we recommend booking your Try Diver Course online HERE. This will guarantee your placement in a small group of maximum 4 students per Instructor.
Is it possible to change the schedule for the Try Diver Course?
Our schedules are flexible and we will do everything to adjust it to your travel plans. Please contact us to arrange for a schedule that suits you within the limits of the Try Diver experience performance requirements.
What are the rates for accommodation in my Try Diver program?
For your Try Diver experience, we offer accommodation in a private AC room (choice of Double or Twin) at a discounted rate for the standard course duration of 1 night. There are also upgrade options available for the adjacent Koh Tao Regal or Beach Club Resort. More information here or just contact us directly.
What are the minimum requirements to start my Try Diver experience?
