Open Water and Advanced Adventurer Course Requirements
Before you start your Open Water and Advanced Courses, there are a few requirements to make sure you have a safe and enjoyable experience. Here’s what you need to know before you dive into this beginner-to-advanced diving program.

Fitness
You don’t need to be a top athlete to take the Open Water and Advanced Courses. All you need is a passion for learning and the curiosity to explore the ocean world..
At Ease in the Water
It’s helpful if you feel generally comfortable in the water and have basic swimming abilities. This is because the Open Water and Advanced Course package includes a short swim test where you’ll need to float or tread water for 10 minutes and swim 200 meters unaided. If you’re unsure about this, feel free to ask us about other course options!
Minimum Age
To start this course package, you need to be at least 10 years old. If you’re between 10 and 15 years old, you’ll be certified as a Junior Open Water Diver and must dive with an adult until you’re 15 years old. Please note that 10 and 11-year-olds are limited to a depth of 12 meters, while 12- to 15-year-olds are limited to a depth of 21 meters.
Medical Statement
To get SCUBA certified, you need to be medically fit for diving. You can download the required medical statement for SCUBA diving here. If you’re unsure whether you’re fit to dive, please consult your doctor or get in touch with us before booking your Open Water and Advanced Course package.

Can I start my courses every day?
In general, yes. We start our courses any given day. To secure your desired start date, we recommend booking your courses online here. This will guarantee your placement in a small group of maximum 4 students per Instructor.
Is it possible to change the schedule for the courses?
Our schedules are flexible and we will do everything to adjust it to your travel plans. Please contact us to arrange for a schedule that suits you within the limits of the Open Water Diver Course and Advanced Adventurer Course performance requirements.
Are there shorter course options available for my courses?
Potentially! There are some limits & restrictions on how many training dives you can complete per day, but we will do our best to find a scheulde that suits you. Contact us at any time for more information.
What are the minimum requirements to start my courses?
The minimum requirements for you to enroll in the courses are listed here: COURSE PREREQUISITES. If you still have questions about specific requirements or an equivalent certification, please contact us directly.
How many students will be together with me in my courses?
We pride ourselves to teach our courses personally in groups of max. 4 students per Instructor. If you still prefer a smaller group or a private course please contact us directly. On the other hand, if you travel in a bigger group, please let us know and we will arrange for multiple Instructors to teach you together.
Will I see different dive sites during my courses?
We have 3 custom built dive boats and choose the dive sites based on your course requirements, comfort level and weather conditions. Generally, we change dive sites on a daily basis, so you will dive at the best spots available for your Open Water Course and Advanced Adventurer Course. More about our boats here.
Can I take a Go Pro on my dives for the courses?
Currently, under Thai law, neither students nor instructors are allowed to use cameras during any course, except for specific photo/video courses. Our In-House Video & Photo company Crystal Images provides perfect pictures or amazing underwater videos for you for a small surcharge. Check out this link: Video-Option.
