Why should I become a Divemaster Instructor with Crystal Dive?

Our Divemaster Instructor training, run by our in-house Instructor Trainers, goes beyond the basics to provide an exceptional range of Specialty Instructor Training courses. HOW IT WORKS
The Divemaster Instructor training has 2 sides to it: Team Teaching and Specialty Instructor Training.
The Specialties required to attain the Divemaster Instructor Rating are: Deep Diving, Navigation and Night & Limited Visibility

The most valuable part of learning to be a Scuba Instructor is to team teach alongside established and experienced instructors.
To gain your DMI rating you will need to have a minimum of 25 Certifications under your belt. From the entry level Open Water Diver course, to Stress & Rescue diver or specialty diver courses. This approach follows SSI’s ethos on performance based learning and ensures you are well-prepared to lead your own courses independently.
Lifestyle Package
Our lifestyle package allows for an unlimited amount of team-teaches. Keep going until you are confident enough to lead courses by yourself. It also includes personal dedicated dive insurance and a working internship, allowing you to get a running start in the industry!

SCHEDULE
The duration is flexible and depends on how often you would like to team teach. You could make it an intense or relaxing experience depending on how you prefer it.

Minimum Age
To be an instructor you need to be 18 years of age.
Certifications
You will have to be an active status Open Water Instructor.
In order to attain the Divemaster Instructor Rating you will have to complete the following specialties:
- Deep Diving Specialty
- Navigation Specialty
- Night & Limited Visibility Specialty
Medical Statement
You need to be medically fit for diving. You will find the Medical Statement for Scuba Diving here to download. To participate in a Pro-Level-Training Course you need this Medical signed by a physician issued within 12 months before course start.

Can I start my Divemaster Instructor training any day?
Yes, this is possible. However the Open Water Instructor courses run on a strict schedule to fit around the regular monthly exam dates, and therefore mostly our Divemaster Instructor training usually begins routinely the day after this.
Is it possible to change the schedule for the Instructor Course?
Schedules are somewhat flexible however we will do our best to carry out specialty instructor training in groups, which can help the learning process.
What are the rates for accommodation in my Instructor Course?
For your instructor Course we offer accommodation in a private AC room (choice of Double or Twin) at a discounted rate. More information here or just contact us directly.
What are the minimum requirements to start my Divemaster Instructor Course?

Can I Work for Crystal Dive after completing my Divemaster Instructor Course?
Yes! We constantly have a rotation of staff as many people work for us temporarily. If you decide you would like the chance to join the team, you can do the working internship after your Divemaster Instructor certification. This internship is actually included for free with the Divemaster Instructor Lifestyle Package.
Whats the next step after completing my Divemaster Instructor Course?
If you want to look for more responsibilties after your Divemaster Instructor, the next step is becoming an Assistant Instructor Trainer! However, once you are a DMI, its advised to get some teaching experience under your belt. Crytsal Dive is perfect for this due to the volume of divers that come through our doors, you´ll be able to gain experience quicker than anywhere else in the world!
Is it better value to do the Lifestyle Divemaster Instructor Package?
Yes! As it has none of the additional costs! It will cover absolutly everything you need to get started in the indusrty. Our free diving for life deal is unique, it gives you a home where you can always return for a cheap diving holiday!
