Team-Teach to Perfection
To gain your DMI rating you will need to have a minimum of 25 Diving certifications under your belt. From the entry level Open Water Diver course, to Stress & Rescue diver or specialty diver courses – there are no limits on the variety or amount of team teaches. This approach follows ’s ethos on performance based learning and ensures you are well-prepared to lead your own courses independently.
You will have the opportunity to try various teaching methods, helping you to formulate your own unique and effective style of instruction. This personal touch will make your courses more engaging and memorable for you and your students.
During the first course that you ‘team teach’, you will present 1-2 modules of both knowledge development & confined water training, help student divers overcome learning difficulties in the classroom, whilst problem solving & correcting student divers in the pool.
During the Open water training dives you will conduct skill repetition and also lead the final training dive of the course. We will give you more responsibility in line with your performance as you progress through the Internship.
As your confidence increases, so will your teaching skills.

Minimum Age
To join our Instructor Course you have to be at least 18 years of age.
Certifications
You will have to be an in status Open Water Instructor.
Medical Statement
You need to be medically fit for diving. You will find the Medical Statement for Scuba Diving here to download. To participate in a Pro-Level-Training Course you need this Medical signed by a physician issued within 12 months before course start.
BIG DISCOUNTS ON PRIVATE ROOMS
Guesthouses:
Most trainees stay in nearby guesthouses offering private rooms with amenities like cable TV, fridge, en-suite bathroom, and Wi-Fi. Prices range from 7,000–14,000 THB per month, depending on size, air-conditioning, and season.
Private Bungalows or Houses:
For a more upscale option, detached bungalows or houses with multiple bedrooms and kitchens are available, priced between 18,000–30,000 THB per month based on size and location.

Can I start my Divemaster Instructor training any day?
Yes, this is possible. However the Open Water Instructor courses run on a strict schedule to fit around the regular monthly exam dates, and therefore mostly our Divemaster Instructor training usually begins routinely the day after this.
Is it possible to change the schedule for the Instructor Course?
Schedules are somewhat flexible however we will do our best to carry out specialty instructor training in groups, which can help the learning process.
What are the rates for accommodation in my Instructor Course?
For your instructor Course we offer accommodation in a private AC room (choice of Double or Twin) at a discounted rate. More information here or just contact us directly.
What are the minimum requirements to start my Divemaster Instructor Course?

Can I Work for Crystal Dive after completing my Divemaster Instructor Course?
Yes! We constantly have a rotation of staff as many people work for us temporarily. If you decide you would like the chance to join the team, you can do the working internship after your Divemaster Instructor certification. This internship is actually included for free with the Divemaster Instructor Lifestyle Package.
Whats the next step after completing my Divemaster Instructor Course?
If you want to look for more responsibilties after your Divemaster Instructor, the next step is becoming an Assistant Instructor Trainer! However, once you are a DMI, its advised to get some teaching experience under your belt. Crytsal Dive is perfect for this due to the volume of divers that come through our doors, you´ll be able to gain experience quicker than anywhere else in the world!
Is it better value to do the Lifestyle Divemaster Instructor Package?
Yes! As it has none of the additional costs! It will cover absolutly everything you need to get started in the indusrty. Our free diving for life deal is unique, it gives you a home where you can always return for a cheap diving holiday!
