Depending on your personal schedule we will adjust the program for you and move elements of your personal course to accommodate for your holiday plans, but in general, these are the parts of your training:

Part 1: Theory
You and your Instructor will complete the necessary PADI paperwork before moving on to theory.
The Knowledge Development part of your PADI Underwater Videographer Course starts with your Instructor discussing camera maintenance before and after diving.
You will then discuss the differences between land and underwater filming and what extra accessories you may need to film underwater.
Next you talk about how being environmentally conscious throughout the course, with good buoyancy and respect for the marine life.
You will look at the different modes of filming underwater before heading off for a lunch break.
Part 2: Diving
For your PADI Underwater Videographer Course we will get on one of our 3 custom built dive boats and go out for 4 dives over the next 2 days.
On these dives you will focus on identifying good subjects to film and with your Instructor, take shots in various positions, keeping good buoyancy and awareness of the environment around you.
Your Instructor will give you tips and tricks to enhance your shots and you will notice how your technique improves on every dive!
On the 2nd day, in the afternoon, you will review your footage with your Instructor, selecting shots and learning basic editing techniques, to build a short movie from your footage.
Once completed, you will have earned your PADI Underwater Videographer Specialty.

The PADI Underwater Videographer Specialty Course at Crystal Dive Koh Tao will be done by our in-house film company Crystal Images.
In the PADI Underwater Videography Course you will learn some basics about exposure, focus, story line and sequencing and after your dives you will look into editing it for your needs.
